PRP Hair Injection (Platelet Rich Plasma) with the PRP Anti-Hair Loss program uses plasma and concentrated platelets rich in nutrients essential for hair follicle cells. Blood is drawn from the patient’s own body, then processed to separate blood cells and cell nutrients. This is injected across the scalp to repair cells (Growth Factor), restoring hair follicle cells to strength. It helps solve thinning hair problems, making hair thicker without transplantation, reduces hair loss and thinning directly, and nourishes hair follicle cells to produce larger, denser hair strands.
1. The physician draws blood from the patient’s arm crease, approximately 20 milliliters, then adds an anticoagulant.
2. The prepared blood is processed using a centrifuge.
3. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) with the highest concentration and quality is separated and prepared.
4. The physician cleans the patient’s scalp and applies local anesthesia to the injection area.
5. Once anesthesia takes effect, the physician injects PRP throughout the scalp, reaching the hair follicles to stimulate follicle cells for stronger growth. (This step is painless for the patient.) The Vital Injector device with a Multi-Needle function disperses injections through 9 needles, ensuring rapid, precise, and effective PRP distribution across the scalp.
Generally, visible improvement is observed after 3 sessions. Initially, PRP injections are recommended once a month for 3 consecutive months, or every 2 weeks depending on physician discretion. Once hair and scalp health improve, sessions can be spaced every 6 months. Clear results are typically seen within 6 months to 1 year.
Results last long-term if performed consistently, as PRP addresses hair problems at the root cause and helps prevent future hair loss and thinning.
There are no strict dietary restrictions after PRP hair treatment. However, alcohol should be avoided for 2 days, and Ibuprofen or Aspirin should not be taken for 2–3 days. Patients on blood-thinning medication or approaching menstruation should inform the physician and staff beforehand.
Pain levels depend on injection technique. At BLS Hair Center, physicians (including Dr. Bee — American Board-certified Hair Transplant Specialist) use local anesthesia combined with PRP injection via the Vital Injector, a precise device designed to deliver PRP deep into the follicles. With gentle technique and patient-centered care, every PRP session at BLS Hair Center ensures comfort and scalp relaxation throughout the procedure.
BLS Hair Center (Blossom Clinic) has 3 branches. Patients outside Bangkok can receive PRP treatment at the Nakhon Pathom clinic. Simply visit the nearest branch for treatment.
