Jaturapisanukul—an American Board-certified hair transplant physician and specialist at BLS Hair Center (Hair Transplant Clinic)—on her first international speaking engagement in the field of hair transplantation.
She was invited to speak at the 8th Asian Association of Hair Restoration Surgeons Meeting, or AAHRS-CAHRS 2024, a scientific congress for Asian hair transplant physicians. This year’s event was held in Guangzhou, China, from June 6–9, 2024, and welcomed over 1,000 American Board-certified hair transplant doctors from around the world—including participants from Thailand, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, South Korea, Japan, the United States, Greece, Canada, and more.
Dr. Bee represented Thailand and delivered a lecture titled “How to Ensure Successful Hair Growth After Transplantation”—addressing the issue of poor graft survival.
She shared her expertise in permanent hair transplant techniques and her hands-on experience treating patients. Her presentation included practical advice and tips for increasing graft survival rates to help fellow physicians improve outcomes in their own clinics. At the same event, Dr. Bee was honored with the Excellent Speaker Award.
One of the innovations that caught Dr. Bee’s attention was the use of robotics in permanent hair transplantation. While still in development, robotic systems aim to match the precision of manual procedures performed by physicians. The congress also featured updates on tools and technologies in hair restoration, giving Dr. Bee the opportunity to expand her knowledge and refine her skills for future patient care.
Dr. Bee also observed hair transplant techniques used in China. She noted that each country has its own strengths and unique approaches. Thai hair transplantation is highly regarded and recognized on the global stage. This congress was a valuable and memorable experience for Dr. Bee.
